Feb 13, 2012 · Number one problem I see with def problems is bad fluid. The stuff goes bad after sitting for a while. That doesn't mean your injector isn't bad, cuz I've seen that too, especially on the Duramax. Ya don't often see intermittent communication problems with wheel speed sensors, but that's what it sounds like to me. Yes, most DEF quality issues are due to a faulty Nox sensor( very common on DEF trucks), rather than actual bad fluid. Only one time was the fluid quality bad when this message appeared in all the trucks we have had show up with the DEF poor quality message.
